Chef Kryssie, a native of Iloilo City, Philippines, now resides in Orange County, California, brings a fresh perspective to Filipino cuisine. Her culinary journey began at an early age, inspired by her family’s traditions. Graduating with honors from The Art Institute of CA in 2007, she embarked on a 15-year professional culinary career, transitioning to full-time freelance personal chef work in 2020. Kryssie’s culinary style reimagines classic Filipino dishes, infusing modern techniques and locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. Her creations showcase familiar Filipino flavors presented in a refined, non-traditional manner. Notably known as the “ube chef,” Kryssie’s delightful ube treats have graced the tables of celebrities like John Travolta, Janelle Monae, The Simpson’s creator Matt Groening, Mindy Kaling, Li’l Durk, and more.
