Grace Aguilar Travel Dine In Style Over a month ago, we had an opportunity to go on a spur of the moment trip to San Salvador, El Salvador to attend the 72nd Miss Universe Pageant. Celia Abuel and I jetted to cover the event on behalf of Exec. Producer and Fashion Designer Lou Razon, Ms. Olivia Quido-Co designated as Miss Universe Skincare and Spa President & CEO. We attended the preliminaries, National Costume, Evening Gown competion and the Coronation night along with Entrepreneur Monet Lu. Here’s a mini-diary to share with readers for those who may be considering attending such an event in the future: At Immigration, they charge you $12 for a tourist fee. Be ready to provide information to the immigration officer as to the purpose and duration of your stay and location of your hotel. The rental car will cost you about $50 per day. The weather itself was a pleasant 80 degrees Fahrenheit and we were met with humidity. As far as local currency? They accept the US dollar and bitcoin. San Salvador is a very clean city especially with the country President Nayib Bukele ordered the clean up of the city, so it’s safe for tourists to visit. It gets pretty quiet around 10pm. The most distance we’ve traveled was about an hour and mostly, everywhere we needed to go was about 10 minutes travel time. Day 1: Beauty Day Beauty Day was an evening where Ms. O and her staff together with her business partner Mr. Raul Rocha from Mexico presented the Miss Universe skincare product line to the candidates.
