May 26, City of Industry, CA, The festival was open to the public from 10:00am to 8:00pm at Puente Hills Mall. The Opening Ceremony was attended by Consul Generals from the ten member nations of ASEAN that includes Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Hon. Congresswoman Judy Chu, Assemblymember Ed Chau and Assemblymember Michael Eng graced the occasion. The 2nd. Annual ASEAN Fest 2018 was organized by the ASEAN People’s Association of Los Angeles in collaboration with 8sian Media, Singpoli BD and The Hub. The event aspires to unify the spirit of the ASEAN Community in the United States and support the growing ASEAN economy market. A special grand prize drawing of a round-trip airline ticket to any Southeast Asian destination was sponsored by Philippine Airlines, Vietnam, and United Airlines who gave out ticket to Singapore.
