Photos by Lorna Llanes IN OTHER WORLDS By BECKY GARCIA The Best Dressed Women of the Philippines and Men of Exemplary Influence 2024 Meet-and-Greet was held on September 20, 2024, at the beautiful Shangri-La The Fort. This night showcased the candidates of this year’s Best Dressed Women and Men of Exemplary Influence. It was a momentous evening which was attended by 700 guests from across the Philippines representing Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. The program started with the amazing Ambassadors for Life segment, hitting the ramp to the tune of “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire which benchmarked the fun and energy of the night’s festivities. This was followed by a heartwarming speech of the Chairman of the Best Dressed, Honorary Consul Helen Ong (Angola) thanking the awardees for their steadfast support to the charity. This was followed by a check turnover ceremony with the proceeds from 2023 as well as a toast to celebrate another achievement. Tabuena, Anna Orlina Arrisa Navarro, Dr. Jamilla Gomez, Tess Chua, Happy Milendrez, Cristina Deleste The Board of Directors present were called and recognized: Dir. Charlie Rufino, Dir. Mario Katigbak, Dir. Sheree Chua, Dir. Marian Ong, Dir. Bo Muralla, and Dir. Mildred Vitangcol. And the check was received by representatives of the Philippine Cancer Society: Dr. Corazon Ngelangel, Dr. Kelly Salvador and the Board of Trustees. And to highlight the event, the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines, Style Icons, and – also another first – the Hall of Fame Awardee were all introduced through a stylish and elegant ramp segment.
