By: Janet Susan R. Nepales Daring, original, edgy. You may describe it however you want, but you cannot deny that Kenneth Barlis, that young designer from San Diego, is making waves right now with his unique designs that most veteran fashion designers are starting to notice. 2019, in fact, is Kenneth’s year. He even surprised himself when I pointed out to him that his green ballroom gown for TV show host and fashion stylist Jeannie Mai at the 76th Golden Globe Awards landed on the Best Dressed List of no less than the Los Angeles Times. I have followed the career of Kenneth and I have seen him grow by leaps and bounds, being more daring, more creative, more wonderful. His recent show at the Los Angeles Fashion Week attests to that. His men’s creations was just mind blowing. It was just like somebody cleaned my glasses and everything became brighter and more colorful. I could easily even want to wear them myself ! Kenneth talks about his inspiration for his KB Collection...... Read more on Full Issue!
