November we celebrated Thanksgiving day and no matter what month it may be we should always give thanks for being blessed. November is my birthday month and there’s a lot to be thankful for. I’m excited to share with you a place where I celebrated my birthday. An outdoorsy place hidden in the Malibu canyons. If you love nature and the outdoors like me then I highly recommend that you check this place out. Best place for any occasion and is one of my bucket list of places to see is ~ Malibu Cafe. California is full of surprises. You’d never imagine that such a place would exist just around your neighborhood. There’s so much to see and discover.

Malibu Cafe is an American restaurant, multi-cuisine, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and drinks. The Malibu Cafe at Calamigos Ranch caters to adults and kids alike. Malibu Cafe is in its dining experience called Nouveau Barbecue, enchanting and romantic outdoor dining venue with chandeliers and cozy couches. They’ve got signature dishes with modern cooking techniques and flavors.

It’s located in the Malibu mountains at 327 Latigo Canyon Road, Malibu California. It’s open from Monday to Sunday with Monday hours at 11:30am- 8pm, Tuesday-Saturday 11:30am-10pm and Sunday 10am-10pm. Monday- Wednesday is self parking. Thursday to Sundayvalet $9 for 2 hour parking and $14 for extended hours parking. It takes reservations, walk-ins, good for groups, good for kids, dog friendly, waiter service and outdoor seating in a ranch style ambiance. They offer oversized games like shuffleboards, chess, etc. and activities for kiddos like a free paddle boat. It can get a bit chilly at night so be sure to bring a coat or a sweater. Although certain areas have umbrellas for shade during sunny days and limited heaters during cozy cold nights. Smoking area is located at the parking lot near valet stand. Thanks to the Gerson Family for creating such a wholesome place where family and friends can dine together, enjoy good food plus have fun. After five generations and 80 years after, Grant and Helen Walter Gerson still owns and operates the Calamigos Ranch where the first signature item was born, the Calamigos Barbecue Sauce.
