Glamour for a Golden Cause

Once again, it is the season for stunning gowns, crisp suits, and elegant festivities as the much-awaited series of events for Best Dressed Women of the Philippines (BDWP) WAS officially launched. Now on its fifteenth year, the glitz-and-glamour BDWP events are organized to raise funds for the benefit of the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS), which has been at the forefront of research to raise cancer awareness in the country for more than 50 years now.

Leading the glamorous fund-raising activity are BDWP event chairperson Angola consul Helen Ong, adviser to the committee Johnny Litton, selection and organizing committee member and project head Jayelles’ Roselle Rebano, selection and organizing committee members Mabel Abaño, Tanzania consul Betty Chua, Roy Gonzales, Gambia consul Agnes Huibonhoa, Hermès and Bvlgari country manager Mario Katigbak, Marian Ong and Elaine Rojas Villar alongside PCS chairman Antonio Ma. J. Guerrero and his board of trustees.

The afternoon tea party, which officially kicked off the festivities, introduced the 2018 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines headliners: Style icons Yoli Ayson and Darlene Ardeña Go, awardees Joy Jabile-Ejercito, Maru Go, Mandaluyong City representative Queenie Gonzales, Malou Tamayo Martinez, jewelry designer Tim Tam Ong, Merci Poblador Padolina, Bettina Nicole Reyes, Malabon City vice mayor Jeannie Sandoval, Krisha Almeda- Sia, Mary Carla Christine Reyes-Sia, Jasslyn Joanne Tan, Michelle Copok Tan, Dr. Mary Jane “MJ” Torres, DIWA Partylist representative Emmeline Aglipay Villar and Faith Valerinne Tan Wee.
