It does not begin in the schools. It does not even begin in the church. Peace begins in the mirror. And if the man in the mirror is fractured, fractured is what he will reproduce. If he is ruled by pain, ruled is what his household will become. His presence will not produce peace, it will activate conflict. His voice will not build safety, it will echo war. We are a generation crying out for revival in our cities while refusing to clean the altars in our living rooms. We demand harmony at the dinner table while we ourselves are still governed by rage, pride, fear, and unresolved trauma. We want our children to feel safe, yet many of us are still enslaved to shame, bitterness, and hidden addictions. This is the great misdirection of our time. We chase sunsets while running east. We long for peace, but we flee pain. We seek solutions, but we silence the source. We look outward for systems and policies to fix what is festering within. But peace is not a program. Peace is not a government initiative. Peace is not a nonprofit curriculum or a rebranded therapy technique. Peace is a Person. And His name is Jesus Christ. I declared this truth at the Vatican last year, when I was honored to speak on international diplomacy. I will declare it again until my lungs give out.
