Special Needs Orphanage in Bangkok. It is the home of special
needs orphans, both normal and with disabilities. It’s about 30 minutes
drive from downtown Bangkok. Last year, I was there for the World Top
Awards and had the opportunity to visit them twice. The TKS & Sons
Queens 2016, Mrs. International, Mrs. Asean and Mrs. South East Asia
collaborated with other international beauty queens who all flew in to
Bangkok in a charity exchange campaign. 2018 is the second year we are
doing this as part of the international charity drive. We raised funds and
either bring in cash donations or food and clothing to these poor children.
during this trip that I was honoured with the Earth
Top Awards for 2018 for my international charitable
contributions. To show us their gratitude, his Royal
Highness, the Royal Prince of Chiang Mai was invited
to be the award presenter. To add to the importance
of these awards, they
were in observance by
a Buddhist monk, as it
was their custom.
My journey ended
with a Charity fashion
show where we were
invited to be the
judges.
It was an amazing
event and a great
experience as we
became a part of the festivities by helping with the
auctioning of some rare ornaments.
My ornament’s culture signifcance seems to be
of indigenous origins. It was a fun time. Children as
young as three participated.
In some way, those three days were quite
physically and emotionally
overwhelming, but at the
same time, it was a very
fulflling and very positive
experience that I was
blessed to have been
involved with. For it to be
successful, that was
a bonus.
I am looking
forward to what I
could contribute
for the coming
year 2019.
