Photos and videos by: Ezekiel Mayor Rios Two-time Emmy Award Winning Producer and host of “Inside Hollywood,” Marc Anthony Nicolas interviewed singer/ songwriter Stephen Bishop whose hit songs which include “On and On” and “It Might Be You”. Bishop was born on November 14, 1951 in San Diego, California. He was inspired to become involved with music after he saw the Beatles performing on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” While in high school Stephen formed the band the Weeds. In the late 60’s, Bishop went to Los Angeles, California to fulfill his dream of becoming a successful professional musician. It took him Inside Hollywood BY MARC ANTHONY seven years to finally get signed by the label ABC Records; he was discovered by Art Garfunkel in 1976 and had been working for a music publishing company where he wrote songs for Chaka Khan, Barbra Streisand, and The Four Tops. “On and On” and “Save It For a Rainy Day” went gold and was nominated for a Grammy Award. Phil Collins cited Bishop as one of his favorite songwriters. Bishop wrote the Collins hit song, “Separate Lives.” Stephen Bishop is set for a world tour and recently performed in three locations in the Philippines this Spring....... Read more on Full Issue!
