AYALA MALLS COLLABORATES WITH DOT TO REVIVE TOURISM IN THE PHILIPPINES

Embrace Filipino heritage by rediscovering local delicacies and festivals at the safety and comfort of Ayala Malls. Since its partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) in 2018, Ayala Malls continues to open its venues for the purpose of enriching the lives of many Filipinos through arts and culture. The much-anticipated food and travel festival—Kain Na!—returned to Ayala Malls Manila Bay earlier this month, and will be back on September 9 to 11 in Abreeza mall. The multi-day event aims to showcase rich delicacies by SMEs all over the country. Meanwhile, Ayala Malls Capitol Central recently hosted the LakBAYANihan Tourism Fair, which successfully brought Panaad festivities closer to Negrosanons despite limitations caused by the pandemic. A TASTE OF FILIPINO HERITAGE AT THE KAIN NA! FOOD AND TRAVEL FESTIVAL Kain Na! is a yearly effort spearheaded by Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat of DOT, along with members of the Philippine Tour Operators Association Inc. (PHILTOA) and the food tourism consortium. The campaign aims to celebrate Filipino heritage and promote cultural tourism through delicacies found in various regions of the country. To mobilize this cause, public and private sectors are gathered annually at Ayala Malls, which has been the chosen home for both groups to showcase gastronomic delights since its inception in 2018. The most recent run at Ayala Malls Manila Bay was led and attended by Regional Director Carolina Uy, Regional Director Jovita Ganongan, OIC-Regional Director Armin Hautea, Regional Director Nelia Arina, Asec.
