My Mother, My Bestfriend

There is no gift more precious from God, to a son or daughter than having a godly mother. For over forty years, I have been blessed with having a mother who has greatly influenced my life for the better. Mom instills in my mind, the value of loving and worshipping God with all my heart. Showing me that my priority in life should be: God, then family and then career. We always go to church together every Sunday, enjoying church activities in our area. My mother is also a woman of great integrity and very high moral values. Leading me and my two brothers by her own example, displaying a sense of doing what is right. She is not just a mother, but my best friend and adviser, and we can always talk anything and everything. I consider my mom, my best friend. For she is the only person who understands the reasons I do things without giving her an explanation. She seems to read my mind and respect my decisions in life. When everyone else turns away, mom always turns towards me. When I fell, she always helped me up. When my heart was filled with disappointment and despair, she always gave me a sparkle of hope. Since I got married and now live with my husband and son, I’ve realized my mother’s presence in my growing years. As a mom to my only nine-year-old son, Kenneth, I now realized how patient, loving and giving my mom is.
