Grandeur Beauty of Creation British Museum Natural History South Kensington

Jurassic World was the latest movie in its series that I watched. I keep an eye on the Jurassic series purely for entertainment. It is a fictional story. I had no idea that dinosaurs walked and lived on earth until I visited the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. The Museum was originally built to showcase a natural history collection, to give glory to God- the Creator. These collections started in the seventeenth century when a wealthy London doctor, naturalist and collector, Sir Hans Sloane (1660-1753) collected 80,000 objects and books ranging from natural history to archaeology. He gave all of these in his will to the nation that the British Museum in Bloomsbury opened in 1759. It was transferred to the present location through the efforts of Sir Richard Owen in 1856 to honour God. The South Kensington British Museum (Natural History) opened to the public in 1881. In 1840 Charles Darwin began writing his theory about natural selection and in 24 November 1859 he published “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.”The theory of Natural Selection is: “Given enough time one species can transform entirely to new species, known as macroevolution.” The dinosaurs into birds, whales from amphibious mammals and the forefathers of apes into humans. Today, there is the Darwin Centre Cocoon in the British Natural History Museum, which was completed in 2009. Charles Darwin himself admitted in p. 92 of his autobiography that he was a Theist. He believed in God the Creator. The Natural History Museum for me showcases the natural work of a Supernatural Creator.
